Warden is a multi-purpose Discord Bot I made specifically to satisfy my very specific and stupid needs. At it's core it's a "moderation bot" but has some other features. It accurately tracks user infractions, auto-moderates blacklisted words, enhances moderators day-to-day moderation and is overall built to be efficient. A few features set it apart compared to other bots in a similar category
> Presets: A Discord Server typically has rules set with specific punishments. For example, if you say a word that is against the rules, maybe it will be a day mute (unable to talk), some servers have MASSIVE amounts of rules, and it can sometimes be annoying for moderators to try and remember ALL specific rules, with their respective punishment. Presets solve that by auto-filling out the reason and duration of the "log"
For example, instead of having to type the command &mute (user) 1d 'said a blacklisted word' you could just type &mute (user) rule1
This alone reduces the need to go back, check the rules, and find the duration. That means there's less time that the message is sitting in the chat for other users to see etc. Admins are able to set this preset feature up effortlessly
> Automatic user inference: This goes hand in hand with the Presets feature, again shaving off time required for a moderator to take action. Instead of manually having to type the users name out, you can instead reply to their message. The bot instantly grabs whoever the message was sent by, and applies the "log" to them.Â
For example, &mute 1d 'blacklisted word', or if you couple it with the presets feature: &mute rule1 while replying to the user. It looks like these are small changes, but it does increase moderator efficiency. This also doesn't just apply to muting people, banning people etc. ANY command where you're required to reference another user can be done with this trick (by replying to them) and the bot will infer the user
